Katie M. Wilson is an Ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church, and is a member of the West Ohio Conference. In 2010, Katie retired from Miami Valley Hospital where she was employed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for 28 years specializing in Adult Cardiovascular Nursing. Katie has a Master of Science Degree in Nursing Administration from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan and a Master of Arts Degree in Specialized Ministry from United Theological Seminary. Katie is appointed as a Deacon at Dixon United Methodist Church in Dayton, Ohio, where she has been a member for 55 years and is very active in the community as she strives to connect the church with the world and the world with the church, which is the role of an Ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church.
Currently, Katie serves as a Deacon and the Minister of Education at Dixon and preaches at the church as needed. Katie also serves on the West Ohio Conference Board of Ordained Ministry and helps others as they strive to understand God’s Call on their lives, which is a role she thoroughly enjoys! The main thing Katie likes others to know about her is that she is a beloved child of God and loves sharing the Good News about Jesus Christ!
